My philosophy ever since my theppn.org days is to make use of the pool of talent inside the community as much as possible. I try not to depend entirely on the goodwill of others, but its always great when members contribute instead of having to do everything yourself. I'm sure you all have noticed this by now.

So now I want to make an inventory of the talents available in this forum. So for example I would like to know the following info to gauge people's abilities:

- What do you do for a living/What do you study
- Aside your work/study, what hobbies do you have that require some form of skill
- What have you done or been part of that could be considered impressive, even if just in a slight way.
- What are you good at? What can you do?

You don't have to be detailed, just the area of work or type of job is enough.
And of course, I'm looking for skills that could be useful to us, like video editing and graphic design (as opposed to cooking and vehicle maintenance).

And don't call us. We will call you. :whatthe:

Because all human achievement is measured on stuff to do with video editing and forum management.

Of course not, silly. The amount of BLT pictures you own is also a very important factor.

No because everyone here is a master at that.

Since I have no skills and can bring nothing to the table I should get out of here now.

Only if you do it onto BLTs/Photobooks and then take pictures, then it's art. x'D

*brag brag brag* ...
- What do you do for a living/What do you study
[Insert HPMS joke here]
- Aside your work/study, what hobbies do you have that require some form of skill
[Insert another, more violent and untrue HPMS joke here]
Serious Answer: A+ Depot, MCDST, CCENT
- What have you done or been part of that could be considered impressive, even if just in a slight way.
I setup and helped design the layout for this page (and got into the local paper),
- What are you good at?

Having spent a large part of my working career in Electronics manufacturing and repair, I'm not sure that much of my skill set would be any use to you. However, I did work in the Quality Department for a number of years and, aside from inspection work, etc., also had to amend, clarify or create quality documentation used in various processes. I guess my main assets are a methodical approach and an eye for detail, which, perhaps, might be of use if you required assistance with QC on any projects?

@Hoopums: I took a look at that page you did layout design on. Are you in the USAF? I'm just curious 'cos I'm an aviation enthusiast myself.

I was actually hired as a civilian for the 21st SFS/SFAI for something unrelated. It got around that I was good with computers and I ended up helping another Airmen with the site. I didn't get any extra pay, but I got in the paper and got a pretty certificate for it.

Thanks for answering my query, Hoopums. It never occurred to me that the USAF might have civilian contractors - I'm not sure why, since the UK MoD makes extensive use of civilian contractors too. Peterson AFB must be a pretty interesting place to work - I see they have quite a cool Air & Space Museum too. It sucks you didn't get any extra money (to spend on AKB swag! :shlick:), but congratulations on winning a certificate for your work! :rimshot:

It all depends on your health insurance coverage. If it covers, then pleas,e be my guest. We really are in need of foreign patients lately. February has been a freaking slow month.

I know much about home theater and audio equipment related things like TV's, speakers, subs, headphones, room acoustics etc. Definitely not helpful to the forum. But if you ever need tips on speaker/sub placement, improving room acoustics etc. I'll talk your ear off.

There was a 7Air/Gwen Stefani one, a Sakura Gumi/ T.I. one and a MM/Damian Marley one. I posted them on H!O at the time and also the bbs right before the big data loss, so you may have missed them.

I've uploaded the SakuraGumi/T.I. one to my folder if you want to check it out. It was nothing special, just me fooling around back then. I think I could make better ones now.
